The course consists of 16 hours of instruction, which may be completed virtually, covering Maryland firearm laws, self-defense, and safe storage, followed by a required live-fire qualification at a shooting range.
RSC offers multiple classes which can all be found under the Services tab at the top of the page.
Students are responsible for completing fingerprinting and paying all applicable Maryland State Police application fees. Additionally, Students are responsible for a $25 range fee and for either bringing their own ammunition or purchasing it at the range.
